As Team Leader, Carmel manages the youth workers and helps them connect with the needs within Pakuranga. She has been with the team since 2015. Carmel has a degree in Early Childhood education. Carmel is passionate about working with youth and helping others do the same.
Carmel currently works full-time at Pakuranga as Team Leader/Youth Worker and is also focused on the Nikau House, through a special grant we received for 2022 and part of 2023. We are working on making her full-time position permanent.

Carmel grew up in the greater Howick area and graduated from Pakuranga College. She also has her Youth Worker National Certificate, level 3. Carmel was instrumental to getting Pakuranga's team together and continues to set the bar for youth work in East Auckland.
Chenae joined the youth worker team in 2022. She is working to complete her Youth Worker Certificate, level 3 in 2023. Chenae works on average 10 hours per week at Pakuranga.
She is also working with youth in the local community.
Amelia joined the youth worker team in 2019. She has worked in youth work before and she has a passion for supporting and encouraging young people through their difficult teenage years. Amelia works an average of 10 hours per week as a youth worker and her focus is on the Rimu House. She also works with youth in the local community.
Her main interests outside of school are coffee, watersports, and seeing parts of our beautiful country.

Amelia has completed her Youth Worker National Certificate, level 3.
Fiona joined the youth worker team in 2022. She has completed her Youth Worker Certificate level 3, however, she also has a bachelor's degree in Social Work.
Fiona works on average 20 hours a week at Pakuranga.
Fiona is married and has children.
