Pakuranga College has 5 youth workers and one Team Leader.

Carmel Bell
Youth Worker and Team Leader
As Team Leader, I manage the youth workers and help connect them with needs within Pakuranga. I have been with the team since 2015. I have a degree in Early Childhood education. I am passionate about working with youth and helping others do the same. I work an average of 25 hours per week at Pakuranga as Team Leader and also focused on the Nikau House. I also work at Pakuranga as a relieving teacher.

Carmel grew up in the greater Howick area and graduated from Pakuranga College. She has her Youth Worker National Certificate, level 3. Carmel was instrumental to getting Pakuranga's team together and continues to set the bar for youth work in East Auckland.

Amelia Smith
Youth Worker
I joined the youth worker team in 2019. I have worked in youth work before and I have a passion for supporting and encouraging young people through their difficult teenage years. I work an average of 10 hours per week as a youth worker and focus on Rimu House. My main interests outside of school are coffee, watersports, and seeing parts of our beautiful country.
