Mike Turinsky has worked as a paid youth worker at Botany for 7 years.
Originally from Alaska, Mike immigrated to New Zealand in 2004 and gained New Zealand citizenship in 2013. He has a Bachelors of Science Degree in International Business and Economics from George Fox University. He previously worked in the business world (human resources, management, and finance) before coming to work with Young Life NZ Trust. His experience with youth work goes back to 1991 when he began as a volunteer youth worker. Mike is committed to helping students find that extra edge in life that can put them on the road to becoming positive contributing members of society. He is married to Jewel and is also father of their two sons.
